  • More solution based selling , new products introduced . More Social Media presence . Lot of training workshops for customers
  • The issue was the continuation of production. And increase in raw material prices therefore customers were not buying
  • No, we did not reduce our prices. We made our assets more flexible. We introduced products for Healthcare when demand from other industries was weak.

  • Yes. Lots of VC meetings and interactions . Continuous WhatsApp and telecoms

What was the labor situation like? and What strategies did you use to retain the labor force?

  • We didn't lose anyone and kept them busy with training for technical topics and soft skills . Weekly video calls to understand their issues and challenges .
  • Labor situation was bad in the second wave but now because of closure of a lot of industry position of labor is very comfortable
  • Arranged private vehicles to transport employees. Arranged additional covid insurance. Counseled employees on how to travel and work safely. A few of our leaders led from the front and started going to the factories.

  • Definitely yes
  • Yes we are a tighter organization we have reduced a lot of manpower costs as lot of people in the System that were not needed got exposed
  • Yes. We were able to focus on reducing costs. We were able to make our assets more flexible. We are a much stronger and nimble company after the covid-19 experience.
  • Yes it did. We could play around and try new ways of doing business. Cutting down costs was a priority during the first wave to safeguard the business for adversities. Since we are an essential service for the nation's food security, ensuring business continuity amidst crisis is a must have. We have realized increased efficiencies through automation and digitisation.
